Nuclear weapons would give Iran some leverage but I wonder if they would actually use them. I mean, the day they were launched is the day Iran would cease to exist.

it's been about 30 years since i have been to a kh and they would have a conference call of 4 people on the phone together because they were sick.

This tension is never going to end and it makes the world a much more dangerous place for everyone.
If Iran is determined to destroy Israel, then every few years, bombs will have to drop on Iran to set back their nuclear program. What happens in the mean time if the US stops sending aid to Israel? What if Russia just gives Iran a few nukes? If israel drops the ball just once - its over. This is fucking madness.

my guess is most jws know it’s not true on a subconscious level to an extent but they don’t want to think about it too much and would never ever voice it out loud.. but this is probably true with all religions around the world?.

If I walked away now I would lose far more that I would gain, family members, friendsIt all comes down to this for a lot of JW's, especially born-ins.
Im sure a lot of people living in North Korea know they are living in a propaganda filled, bad fairy tale - even if its only at a sub-conscious level. But what do they lose by trying to escape? Nothing comes for free.

from there i walked in to town to the chemist's (pharmacy) to get the scripts filled.
it's winter here, and my town can get get colder than is average for my state**.

I believe Jesus probably existed.
I also believe that for someone that is supposed to be the son of god / god , he didn't really say a lot of helpful things.
I mean, every word he spoke should have been recorded. Why didn't someone ask him about cancer/ malaria/ clean drinking water/ dental hygiene/ electricity/ the best possible diet that lets the average person live a long, healthy life? His message was basically, " don't worry - it will all make sense after you die".
This was an opportunity to really lift the everyday existence of the average human. Its only now , 2000 years later that humans have been able to figure all this stuff out on our own, at the cost of millions of lives.
